Windows 10 Meltdown-Specter Patch: New updates are appropriate for qualified AMD PCs

Microsoft has released new updates for Windows 10, which resolves a problem in a multidine and spitre patches, causing some AMD systems to be unrelated.

If you have an AMD PC and most recently did not install Windows 10 security update, then it is now possible that your PC boot problems.

Microsoft stopped security updates for several releases of Windows 10 running on AMD PC last week. AMD confirmed last week that AMD Opteron, Athlon, and AMD Turion X2 Ultra CPUs were affected by this problem, and it was working on a fix with Microsoft.

These issues have been addressed in a round of new updates for several versions of Windows 10 released yesterday.

As reported by Neovin, the cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1709, which is known as Fall Creators Update, labeled KB4073290 brought the build number to 16299.194. It can be manually downloaded.

A rare release note states: "There is an update available to correct the problem after installing the January 3, 2018 - KB4056892 (OS Build 16299.192): AMD devices fall into an unconnected situation."

AMD users should get fixed patches through Windows Update and WSUS, as Microsoft was previously outlined in the original update.

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 1506.877 and 14393.2034 respectively for Creator Update (version 1703) and Anniversary Update (version 1607) respectively. People with AMD PCs on these versions of Windows 10 will be able to install these updates securely.
